Password vault (secret snippets)
- Keep API keys, license keys, and other occasional secrets in a vault that opens with a master password. Contents are encrypted with Argon2id + AES-256-GCM, and the master password itself is never stored.

FAQ
Honestly, isn’t free ShareX enough?
ShareX is a great free tool, but it’s built around uploading to external services to share, and it has no clipboard-history manager, no text snippets, no device-to-device P2P sync, no media-player-linked rename, and no Quick Tray. Capture Core folds the whole "after capture" workflow into one app and keeps it on your devices without a cloud.
Do I have to pay every year?
No. Capture Core Pro is a perpetual license. Buy it once and keep using the updates in that line for free.
Are major updates free too?
Updates within your version line (e.g. 1.x) are free forever. Only the next major version (e.g. 2.0) is a paid upgrade, at an owner’s discount — but any major version released within 6 months of your purchase is free.
Does the free edition watermark my images?
It does not. Neither Free nor Pro ever adds a logo or watermark to saved images.
Is sync safe? Does it go to the cloud?
Your images are not uploaded to any external cloud. Sync is direct P2P between your own devices, and you choose which folder to sync.
Is there a Mac version or video capture?
It’s Windows today, with Mac on the way. Because it’s a perpetual license, you’ll receive these for free after purchase.
Can it capture Netflix or other DRM-protected video?
No — and honestly, nothing can. DRM-protected screens come out black by OS design, in every capture method and every app.
Can I use it for work? On how many machines?
Using it for work requires a Pro license. That covers use inside a company or organisation, work as a sole trader or freelancer, and anything you deliver or sell. Free is for personal use. One Pro license activates up to 3 devices.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card, processed by Stripe. Your license key arrives by email right after checkout.
I saw a warning while downloading or running the installer
Capture Core is signed with a code-signing certificate, but until Windows builds up a reputation for the app, your browser or SmartScreen may still ask for confirmation. It is not a virus detection. If Edge says the file "isn’t commonly downloaded", hover over it in the downloads list and choose "..." → "Keep", then "Show more" → "Keep anyway". If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" on first run, click "More info" and then "Run anyway". The installer is distributed exclusively from this official site (piftoworks.com).
